Ⅰ. Introduction:

Main factors for affecting coating are the shear rate and downward force applied to the applicator tool, etc. Automatic Film Applicator enables experimental chemists conveniently draw down precise coating film on the different substrate so as to reduce and eliminate errors caused by manual factors. The error is coating often appears inconsistent. It brings difficulty for comparing testing result between panels. 

AFA-II Automatic Film Applicator designed and produced by our company enables experimental chemists conveniently draw down precise coating film on the different substrate. It greatly improves the reproducibility of paint film.
Ⅱ. Main Technical Parameters:

Ⅲ. Introduction:

1.This equipment adopts adjustable variable speed motor, precisely control coating speed.
2.Adopt crossbar to push Wet Film Applicator. There isn’t special request for outer dimension of Wet Film Applicator.
3.Adopt inner-set vacuum pump. It is not necessary for outer-connecting vacuum pump. It is conveniently to carry this equipment.
4.Place the stainless waste collect tray on the left edge of coating backseat. It can collect surplus coatings so as to make sure equipment itself and surrounding area clean.

Ⅳ. Instruction:

1.Switch-on power.
2.Put prepared coating substrate (such as Hiding Power Chart) on the coating backseat. Turn on vacuum pump to “suction” position. At this time, coating substrate is adsorbed on the coating backseat. (Note: When the dimension of prepared coating substrate is smaller than the dimension of vacuum bed. Other paper or clean adhesive tape should be used to cover on the vacuum small hole so as to avoid not fast adsorbing substrate and causing coating failure).
3.Put the cross-push-bar on the fixed bar of both side of coating backseat.
4.Choosing appropriate coating length (I-250mm, II-370mm), push on “reset” button, making cross-push-bar reach coating starting position.
5.Put Wet Film Applicator in the front of cross-push-bar.
6.Adjust speed regulation knob, choose appropriate coating speed.
7.Directly put an amount of preparing coatings in the front of Wet Film Applicator.
8.Push “starting” knob, then start to coating.
9.After stopping coating, scrape remainder coatings into waste material collecting tray.
10.Turn off vacuum pump, take off prepared panel to wait next time operation.

Ⅴ. Note:

1.Keep backseat clean. The sundry is not allowed to stick on the coating backseat. It should be cleaned immediately.
2.Oil level should be checked timely. If found oil level is not enough, lubricant should be added so as to lubricate guide rail.
3.After every time using this equipment, dust cover should be used to cover up so as to avoid dust dropping into vacuum small hole, then the dust will be sucked into vacuum pump, influencing service life of machine.
4.After using this equipment every time, waste collecting tray should be cleaned in time.
